Chalice Circles are Back

Remember about a month ago when our Asst. Minister, Kiya Heartwood, preached about deep listening and how it needs to be practiced? Here is your opportunity to do just that, get to know others and yourself better, and reflect on some deep topics.

That’s right, it’s time to sign up to participate in a Chalice Circle this year! Chalice Circles begin mid-September and will be our main adult faith development offering for the year. And hey, it’s all online, so you don’t have to drive to the church to participate!

After you sign up, we add you to a group based on your preferred schedule. Never heard of a Chalice Circle before? Here is a brief rundown and some info on how they will be different this year.

  • Groups of 6-10 people
  • Commit to 8 meetings
  • Meet twice monthly
  • Facilitation guide provided by Live Oak staff on topics related to our church themes for worship (This is different from covenant groups, which develop around an area of interest.)
  • Groups covenant to follow guidelines for participation, including a commitment to show up, share the time, and dialogue on the topics
  • Groups may continue throughout the year allowing new members to join if there is room (Original group should commit to 8 meetings as mentioned above.)

Sign-ups now available HERE. Questions, just contact me. I’m happy to talk about it with you.

*See* you on Sunday,

Carrie Krause, DLFD
