“Hey, what’s going on?” That’s a great question! Live Oak’s Communications Teams have been working hard to make it easier for you to find correct information about all the great things happening in and around the church.

As you can see, our Newsletter Team is experimenting with a streamlined weekly issue that will give you a little information and a link you can click if you want to read more. We’re making the Live Oak website the “hub” of all the other methods of communication.

You need to have confidence that you’re getting accurate information, so the Website Team has been going through each and every page to make sure that they’re up to date, and contain all of the information you need.

For those wanting to promote an event, a task force has been working to create “one stop shopping” for you. In the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing a single online form where you can share information about your event, then check all the routes to share the information, e.g. newsletter, social media, Order of Service bulletin, etc.

There is a mutual responsibility, as a community, to making sure everyone who wants to know what’s happening can do so. On the Communications Team side, we are committed to making sure that the website has all the information — correct, current, and easy to find. On the membership side, we members and friends commit to checking the newsletter and website on a regular basis to find the events and activities we’re interested in – and, giving feedback about what we find helpful.
