“It rained, it rained,” goes an old John Lee Hooker song about the 1936 flood in Tupelo. During these rainy days, with floods all around us, I can’t seem to get the song out of my head.

When we have natural disasters, we want to know how everyone in the church fared. The information usually comes in anecdotally, maybe with some posts on Facebook. Around the country, other UUs want to know how the UUs in the stricken area are doing, and if they need help.

If you have damage to your home or a loved one’s, let us know. Call the office and tell us – “Hey, Rev. Joanna said to let you know. Well, this happened …”

There are residents of Wimberley and San Marcos who attend the UU Fellowship there who sustained some serious damage. For those who want to help, Rev. Brian Ferguson recommends two local organizations:
