Thank You’s and Holy Weirdness
Wasn’t That a Party?
“Thank you” doesn’t seem sufficient for my depth of appreciation for all of the work that went into making the Installation service and Party/Hootenanny a success. From the decorations, to the food and drink, to the musicians, to the monumental work of setting up/taking down the tents, and of course, cleanup … it was an amazing celebration of our future together, and I’m still so humbled and touched by the entire experience.
Thank you for calling me to be the minister of Live Oak UU Church. As Rev. Mark Christian mentioned in his words during the Installation, I know that I am serving alongside you, as we work to create Beloved Community in our church, and in the larger community. And to use a phrase from Rev. Jake Morrill’s sermon, let’s go out with our Holy Weirdness and spread some love!
