Faith Development 10.6.19

Background: image of globe. Text reads: This Week in Faith Development; PreK – The Girl Who Loved Animals; Elementary – Justice and Compassion; Middle School – game Day; High School – Hangout Sunday; Adults – Principles in Action. Join us. Classes begin at 10 AM.

Here’s what you need to know this week!

Nursery/PreK can use your help. Are you willing to volunteer once a month for a worship service and RE time? Know someone who would like a paid position in our nursery? Please let Carrie know.

Please register if you haven’t already done so. We would like to wrap up registration for current families by the end of October. A procedure change to note this year: elementary children will no longer sign in downstairs. Parents should sign them in at the classroom upstairs, preferably by 10:05, which is when class will begin. If you arrive late, please enter quietly as we will begin opening circle on time to allow more class time in our studios. Sign out is upstairs at the same classroom by 10:55.

Middle School and High School are off to a great start so far! Keep coming and help build momentum. First Sundays of the month are for fun and rest. Games, naps, music and snacks are all part of the fun for the youth groups on first Sundays. Register to be added to the email list for families and the chat group for high school youth!

Adult drop-in session for this week will include our first look at the second principle: justice and compassion in human relations. For more information about chalice circles or other adult learning, please visit the Learning pages of the website.

Please consider how you can help in faith development across the ages this year by contacting Carrie Krause. Let’s grow our base of adults sharing the journey with our children, youth, and adults. Many hands make light work and allow for a richer experience for all involved.
