Faith Development for Families 6.6.21
- 9:15 – 9:45 AM PreK
- 11:30 – 12:30 AM Taking Flight 8th/9th Grade Sexuality Education
After worship, be sure to join our Wandering Flower Communion on the Live Oak campus. Bring some flowers to share and walk the Chalice Pathway to collect a flower someone else brought. We will not be opening the church building, and ask that people respect guidelines regarding social distancing, wearing masks, etc. While some of us have been vaccinated, not all have, and we want to make this event as safe as possible for all ages.
Our regular year programming is over. As we enter summer there are a couple of ways to engage with faith development. Our wonderful childcare coordinator, Ms Harmoni, will continue to offer an online family/children’s chapel. Watch for updates to that offering beginning June 13.
Taking Flight Sexuality Education class will continue throughout the summer for our 8th/9th graders.
Join us on a SUUmmer AdventUUre this year. This is an at-home, family-led faith development opportunity. Enrolled families may pick up the adventure journal during the Flower Ceremony, June 6, or they will be mailed to children ages PreK-8th grade. Complete the adventures and fill out a form to get a special treat from Live Oak!
Finally, I invite everyone to begin thinking about how you can support programming when we come back together in September. What a gift it would be to have an abundance of classroom volunteers for all ages as we start up.
Adult Faith Development
Chalice Circles will open for registration in September and begin meeting in October. Mark your calendar.
Also, the Adult Faith Development team is looking for people willing to help with planning and implementing our learning groups next year. If you might be interested, please contact me for more information.
