Here’s what you need to know this week!
Each Sunday during the summer the adults are invited to attend our weekly discussions on the worship topic called ‘Musings on the Message.’
Children and youth are exploring cultural cuisine throughout the summer using the curriculum Books and Cooks. The class will meet in Room 205 for the summer, and children 5th grade and under should be signed out by a family member by noon. Older youth (middle school and up) are encouraged to sign up to help lead a session, or just come and help with the cooking and story time.
Since it is a food-based curriculum, please check the ingredient list each week when you sign your youth in. We will make sure that our dishes are gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free as much as possible to avoid common allergens.
With school just around the corner, it is time to consider how you will contribute your time and talent in the faith development of our children and youth. Let’s grow our base of adults sharing the journey with our children and youth. Many hands make light work and allow for a richer experience for all involved.
Finally, our fall program doesn’t begin until September 9, but with school beginning nearly a month prior, we may need additional help in the classroom during August. Please consider signing up to assist either on the sign-up sheet in the Narthex or by visiting https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508084aa5a62aa7fe3-books.
