Here’s what you need to know this week!
Each Sunday during the summer the adults are invited to attend our weekly discussions on the worship topic called ‘Musings on the Message.’
Children and youth are exploring cultural cuisine throughout the summer using the curriculum Books and Cooks. The class will meet in Room 205 for the summer, and children 5th grade and under should be signed out by a family member by noon. Older youth (middle school and up) are encouraged to sign up to help lead a session, or just come and help with the cooking and story time.
Since it is a food-based curriculum, please check the ingredient list each week when you sign your youth in. We will make sure that our dishes are gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free as much as possible to avoid common allergens.
School has begun for most families, but our fall RE program doesn’t begin until September 9. Please consider how you can help in RE this year by contacting Carrie Krause. We are especially need of more elementary helpers. Let’s grow our base of adults sharing the journey with our children and youth. Many hands make light work and allow for a richer experience for all involved.
And with school starting before we split our classes, we are in need of more adult helpers for the next two Sundays. Please consider signing up to assist either on the sign-up sheet in the Narthex or by visiting https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508084aa5a62aa7fe3-books.
Registration is now available for the new year. If you have not registered before, please use the link on the sidebar. Families who were registered last year have received a link via email to renew their registration. Please let me know if you have lost that link.
