Faith Development 8.25.19

Here’s what you need to know this week!

This Sunday is our last adult class, “Musings on the Message” for the summer. Please join us in Room 109 at 11:00 as we discuss what we hear in the sermon. Adult drop-in programming will resume on September 22.

In RE programming, our final Books and Cooks class takes us to Australia. The class will meet in Room 205, and children 5th grade and under should be signed out by a family member by noon. Older youth (middle school and up) are encouraged to sign up to help lead a session, or just come and help with the cooking and story time.

Since it is a food-based curriculum, please check the ingredient list each week when you sign your youth in. We will make sure that our dishes are gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free as much as possible to avoid common allergens.

Fall RE begins on September 8. That is when class lists will be updated and children and youth will begin in their new age groupings. Please register now as it helps me create accurate lists before we start. If you have not registered before, please use the link on the sidebar. Families who were registered last year have received a link via email to renew their registration. Please let me know if you have lost that link.

We can use more adult help in our programs. Maybe you can assist once a month in a class, maybe more. Please consider how you can help in RE this year by contacting Carrie Krause. Let’s grow our base of adults sharing the journey with our children and youth. Many hands make light work and allow for a richer experience for all involved.
