Faith Development 9.6 to 9.12.21

Faith Development for Families

Current Programming

This Sunday, 9/12, will be our final online Nursery/PreK children’s chapel with Ms. Harmoni. Children up through age 7 are invited to join her for a 30-minute chapel at 9:15 AM, before our regular worship begins. Children’s Chapel

I hope you have taken the time to check out the new In-home Faith Development page. Whether you attend in person or solely at home, these pages provide at home activities to deepen Unitarian Universalist identity. You can add to the collaborative playlist and send me pictures of your family engaged in the activities on the calendar. Each month a new scene will launch with new stories, a chalice lighting, calendar, and playlist for your to use. Family Focus: In Home Faith Development

Fall Programming

Don’t forget that worship starts at 9:30 AM on September 19!

Outdoor faith development classes are scheduled to begin on October 3, following our outdoor worship service, and I need your help. PreK (ages 3&up) will gather on the playground with Harmoni, masked and with at least one parent volunteer.

Older children and youth gather in the circle of trees near Common Ground and start approximately 15 minutes after worship ends.

Consider volunteering to lead elementary, middle or high school classes. And you won’t want to miss the all ages faith development class on October 3rd. It is the first in a series of spiritual practice sessions and the focus is on letting go!

Access to classrooms inside will not be available, but restrooms will be accessible. No nursery care is available. You, as a family, can decide your own comfort level in participating outdoors and masked. All volunteers and staff are required to be vaccinated to work with children at this time.

All other ages are encouraged to participate in worship services in the chat.

Adults

You can visit the Adults Learning page on the website to see all the plans for the rest of 2021, as they currently stand. Of course, flexibility is key as we navigate our start to fall programming, but October 3 is the date to remember. I’ll share more about that all-ages class at a later date.

Remember that Chalice Circles are a great way to go deeper in a small group setting. Sign-ups are now open for those as well.

Finally, I hope to be able to offer some online options for adults in addition to our Sunday morning gatherings. Some may be a multi-platform class on Sunday morning, others will be strictly virtual at another time.

Please reach out to me if you are interested in helping facilitate, either online or in person.

Please note that the preceding schedule is subject to change based on COVID stages in our community and our staged gathering plan.

See you on Sunday,

Carrie, DLFD
